Application of HumiSeal® 1C53
HumiSeal® 1C53 is designed to be applied to substrates that have been properly cleaned before coating, as well as those assembled with low residue, “no clean” materials. It is important to conduct compatibility tests to ensure that the conformal coating works well with the specific assembly materials, process conditions, and cleanliness levels. For more information, please contact a HumiSeal representative.
Dipping
To achieve even coating deposition, a controlled immersion and withdrawal rate (5-15 cm/min) should be maintained, ensuring a uniform film.
Spraying
HumiSeal® 1C53 can be applied using conventional spray equipment. Spray pressure varies depending on the equipment and technique used by the operator. Spraying should be done in a well-ventilated area to prevent exposure to vapors and mist. Thinning the product is not recommended.
Brushing
When applying by brush, uniformity of the film will depend on the component density and the technique of the operator.
Curing
HumiSeal® 1C53 is a thermally cured conformal coating. The required curing temperature depends on factors such as the heat sink characteristics of the parts, the oven used, and the loading conditions. It is important to note that materials such as amines, acrylates, and certain latex rubber ingredients may inhibit the curing process. To ensure optimal results, it is advised to consider compatibility with the production environment. Operators should wear cotton gloves when handling assemblies before coating.
Storage
HumiSeal® 1C53 should be stored in tightly closed containers at temperatures of 27°C or below, away from direct sunlight. Refrigerated storage will extend its shelf life. Before use, allow the product to acclimate to room temperature for 24 hours.
Caution
The application of HumiSeal® Conformal Coatings should comply with local and national health and safety regulations. Always work in well-ventilated areas to avoid inhalation of vapors or spray, and avoid skin and eye contact. Refer to the SDS before use.
