Application of HumiSeal® 1C49LV
For successful application, conformal coatings should be applied to substrates that have been thoroughly cleaned or to those assembled with low residue, “no clean” materials. It is essential to perform appropriate testing to ensure compatibility between the conformal coating and the specific assembly materials, process conditions, and cleanliness levels. For further assistance, please contact a HumiSeal representative.
Brushing
The uniformity of the film depends on the component density and the operator's technique.
Dipping
To achieve even deposition and a uniform film, ensure a controlled rate of immersion and withdrawal (5-15 cm/min). Blanketing dip tanks with an inert gas like nitrogen can help extend the pot life.
Spraying
HumiSeal® 1C49LV can be applied using most conventional spraying equipment. If uncertain, it is recommended to test the spray equipment before applying the coating to production boards. Ensure adequate ventilation during spraying to carry away vapors and mist. Thinning is not required or recommended for HumiSeal® 1C49LV.
Storage
Store HumiSeal® 1C49LV in tightly closed containers at temperatures of 27°C or below, away from direct sunlight. If the coating has been partially used, purge the container with dry nitrogen before resealing. Before use, allow the product to equilibrate for 24 hours at room temperature.
Caution
The application of HumiSeal® Conformal Coatings should follow local and national health and safety regulations. Use only in well-ventilated areas to avoid inhalation of vapors or spray, and avoid contact with skin and eyes. Always consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) prior to use.
