Application of HumiSeal UV40 SOLAR
HumiSeal® UV40 SOLAR is designed to be applied to substrates that are either cleaned prior to coating or assembled using low residue, “no clean” materials. It is essential for users to conduct appropriate testing to ensure compatibility between the conformal coating and their assembly materials, process conditions, and cleanliness levels. For further information, please contact HumiSeal®.
Spraying
HumiSeal® UV40 SOLAR can be applied using standard selective coating equipment or conventional hand spray methods. It is crucial to use dry source air (inert gases like nitrogen are highly recommended) to avoid premature curing of the secondary cure mechanism. Ensure proper ventilation to dissipate vapor and mist from the operator's area.
Brushing
HumiSeal® UV40 SOLAR may be applied by brush for rework or touch-up purposes only. Brushes must be cleaned promptly with solvent after use.
Clean Up
To clean uncured HumiSeal® UV40 SOLAR and flush equipment, non-alcohol-based solvents should be utilized. HumiSeal® Thinner 521 or Thinner 521EU is recommended.
Rework
As a highly cross-linked UV-cured coating, HumiSeal® UV40 SOLAR has superior environmental and chemical resistance, making removal more difficult than traditional conformal coatings. Rework can be performed using thermal displacement, mechanical abrasion, or, where available, HumiSeal® Stripper 1100.
