Application of HumiSeal® Acrylic Gel
For successful application of Acrylic Gel, ensuring the cleanliness of the substrate is critical. Surfaces must be free moisture, dirt, wax, grease, and other contaminants. Any ionic or organic residues on the substrate can become trapped under the Acrylic Gel, potentially causing issues with adhesion or electrical properties. The highest long-term reliability for a coated printed circuit assembly is achieved when Acrylic Gel is applied to a clean, dry substrate.
While it is common practice to apply Acrylic Gel over no-clean flux, users should conduct adequate testing to ensure compatibility with their specific assembly materials and process conditions. For further guidance, please contact HumiSeal.
Syringe Application
HumiSeal® Acrylic Gel is designed for automated needle dispensing but can also be applied manually.
Storage
Store HumiSeal® Acrylic Gel in tightly closed containers, away excessive heat or cold. The product may be stored at temperatures between 0 and 35°C. Prior to use, allow the product to equilibrate for 24 hours at room temperature (18-32°C).
Caution
The application of HumiSeal® Acrylic Gel should follow all local and national health and safety regulations. Since the solvents in HumiSeal® Acrylic Gel are flammable, the material should not be used near open flames or sparks. Always apply in well-ventilated areas to avoid inhalation of vapors or spray, and avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. Refer to the MSDS/SDS for detailed safety information before use.
