HumiSeal® Stripper 1080A offers the following features:
HumiSeal® Stripper 1080A is a low-toxicity solvent blend designed to dissolve cured HumiSeal® acrylic coatings without damaging printed wiring board substrates or components. It complies fully with the RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC.
This product is safe for use on epoxy markings, epoxy substrates, solder, copper, silver, gold, and nickel plating. However, it may swell or dissolve polystyrene and vinyl.
Directions for Use of HumiSeal® Stripper 1080A
To remove the coating, immerse the component or printed circuit board assembly in HumiSeal® Stripper 1080A. The dissolution rate depends on the coating's thickness and age. A standard cured acrylic coating typically dissolves within 30 minutes at room temperature, without the need for additional heat. Ensure the container remains covered to minimize solvent evaporation.
After removing the coating, thoroughly clean the assembly using isopropyl alcohol, deionized water, or another approved cleaning process. Dry the assembly in an oven for at least 30 minutes at 66°C before recoating.
Handling Precautions
HumiSeal® Stripper 1080A is flammable, so follow these safety measures:
- Use only in well-ventilated areas.
- Wear protective gloves and goggles.
- If skin contact occurs, wash thoroughly with water.
- In case of eye contact, flush with water, then rinse with a diluted boric acid solution, and seek medical attention.
- Avoid prolonged inhalation of vapors.
- Dispose of unused product in accordance with applicable environmental regulations.
