3M™ to Phase Out Production of Fluorinert™ FC-3283
3M has officially announced that it will discontinue the manufacturing of all fluoropolymers, fluorinated fluids, and products formulated with PFAS-based additives by the end of 2025. This strategic decision signals the conclusion of an era for several of 3M’s highly specialized product lines, including advanced coatings, precision cleaning solutions, and engineered cooling fluids that have been widely trusted for their outstanding reliability and performance across diverse industrial sectors.
In response to this transition, Hicotech proudly presents a high-performance solution: Fluorinert™ FC-3283 replacement with Galden HT-135.

A Reliable Alternative to Fluorinert™ FC-3283
Galden HT-135, part of the Galden® HT PFPE fluid family, is an inert, dielectric heat transfer solution engineered for demanding thermal management applications. With boiling points spanning 55°C to 270°C, this product line offers a broader operational range compared to many conventional fluorinated heat transfer fluids. Its exceptional thermal stability enables safe and efficient use in systems operating at end-use temperatures of up to 290°C, making it a robust and future-ready replacement for Fluorinert™ FC-3283.
