Key features of Krytox XHT 500

• Krytox XHT 500 oils provide extended lubrication intervals and increased equipment life, especially under high temperature conditions. At temperatures above 330°C (626°F), oils may begin to slowly evaporate at an increasing rate as temperatures continue to rise. To ensure optimum performance and life, re-lubrication at these temperatures is necessary.

• Thanks to its low surface tension, Krytox XHT 500 lubricants easily wet and coat metal surfaces, providing comprehensive lubrication.

• The chemical inertness of Krytox XHT 500 ensures little to no adverse effects on metals. Test results on metals at 340°C (644°F) in the absence of air showed minimal signs of corrosion. When exposed to air, corrosion increased slightly, however, the presence of molybdenum in the metal significantly improved corrosion resistance, providing increased durability and protection for equipment operating in harsh conditions.
