What Is Galden SV?

Galden SV fluids are low-molecular-weight perfluoropolyethers, or PFPEs. They are CFC-free, chemically inert, colorless and odorless fluids with boiling points across the range of approximately 55°C to 135°C.

Syensqo identifies Galden SV as a solvent family suitable for cleaning hot components, heated-solvent processes and pressure-spray applications. Boiling point alone is not sufficient for selection. Engineers should also evaluate process temperature, ventilation, fluid recovery, required drying time, residue characteristics, seal materials and the geometry of the component being cleaned.
